Brighton and Hove City Council Bin/Refuse Collection
I’m calling on the leader of Brighton and Hove City Council, Mr Phèlim Mac Cafferty of The Green Party, to reimburse all residents of Brighton and Hove a proportion of Council Tax.
Why? Because our bins have not been collected and rubbish is piling up on the streets.
Part of our council tax goes towards refuse services, which have stopped for two weeks because of a strike by bin lorry drivers.
This situation is unacceptable. It is a health hazard, pavements are blocked and it is unsightly.
The council has a legal duty to collect household and business waste, keep the streets and roads clean and clear of obstruction.
I am therefore asking you to sign this petition to request an appropriate refund of council tax.

Why is this important?
For the Health of The Community and a provision of ‘Paid for Services’.
Council Tax payment is paying for services for which collection of waste is included.

How it will be delivered
In Person to the Head of Brighton and Hove City Council.
