Reinstate the ban on insect-damaging neonicotinoid thiamethoxam on all crops.
We ask that the recent decision to allow the use of the insect-damaging neonicotinoid thiamethoxam on sugarbeet is reversed. It isn't allowed routinely in the European Union and should not be used here either. We were promised there would be no lowering of environmental standards as part of Brexit changes.
Why is this important?
Bees & other insects are proven to be hurt by neonicotinoids. They are also threatened by climate change & pollution. Insects are vital for a healthy environment, including for growing food. Will sugar beet farmers & users of UK produced sugar still be able to export their products to the EU?

I expect to email the petition - unless the Government publicly changes its mind.
