Fibre Broadband service to the nation's 'Exchange Only' connections
I would like BT Openreach to 'come clean' on this topic. They are acting - nationwide in the UK - to deliver 'fibre broadband' across the nation having 'won' the contract from most, if not all, county authorities; in a so-called open competition to do this job.
As a result; fibre broadband is steadily being delivered across the nation ... with a single major exception.
It transpires that many houses and businesses are connected to BT Exchanges 'directly' via what are called 'Exchange Only' connections; and BT have kept this fact very close to their chests. Worse ... they have declared such EO connections 'out of play' in the nationwide fibre roll-out.
Only recently have many individual telephone users found that, as 'EO' line users, they have been excluded from the fibre broadband roll-out - and most people still have no idea that they are on this 'nation-wide exclusion list'.
BT Openreach will not willingly discuss this matter with any BT Customer because, as they 'proudly - and obdurately' state ... 'BT Openreach is not a 'customer facing' company ... '.
I wish to require BT Openreach to change their attitude in this situation.

Why is this important?
The so called 'National roll-out of fibre broadband' is being funded by public money and we - the public - need to be given full access to the matter.
The BT Telephone service side of the business (which does the talking to customers ...) should be given access to the data, owned by BT Openreach, to ensure that any telephone user ... interested in using fast fibre access to the broadband network ... can obtain an honest and complete answer as to when, and by what method - and at what price - they will be provided with the connection capability to the fibre broadband network.
