Keep The Rasta Boat "Mumma Dread" at Eastbeach - Shoeburyness
Please sign this petition to show your support for keeping the famous local boat Mumma Dread moored just off East Beach.
Southend Council have given Tony (Rasta Pirate) an eviction notice to move the boat. They have refused to offer an alternative mooring, even though Tony has said he would happily pay any fees.
A boat that was able to be totally renovated by the pure love and generosity of the Shoebury and surrounding areas wonderful people.
Lets show our support and demand that this boat, a local landmark, be left alone and stay where it is.
It's unconventional, not "the norm" but it's ours. My connection started because my grandson asked me about the "pretty boat with music".

Without a permanant home, the risk here is that Tony will lose his beloved boat that has become a feature of Eastbeach.
