We the undersigned support the proposal of Councillors Terry Chivers and Jeff Osborn that Wiltshire Council should use the Sustainable Communities Act 2007 to levy a charge on supermarkets in Wiltshire. The purpose of this charge would be to reduce car parking charges in the city of Salisbury and Wiltshire market towns.

Why is this important?
A levy on Wiltshire Supermarkets could reduce parking charges in our town centres which would be a lifeline to the many small traders.
