Lewes Town Council do not do business with tax havens
Our council shoudn't deal with companies who are in tax havens or have subsidiaries there
Why is this important?
Our coucil should spend tax payers money in the right way and with the right companies. This is only a matter of political will, Barcelona City Council has pioneered with an initiative which makes sure tax payers money is responsably used. http://ajuntament.barcelona.cat/alcaldessa/en/blog/responsible-and-fair-procurement
Tax havens breed corruption, terrorism and poverty. We shouldn't allow anonimous companies or money from those sources to be publicaly supported in any way.
