NO ASSESSMENTS FOR DISABILITY LIVING ALLOWANCE RECIPIENTS (NO PIP APPLICATION -KEEP DLA PAYMENTS )

NO ASSESSMENTS FOR ALL DLA RECIPIENTS - No forced application for PIP leading to loss of ANY monies as recipients are presently deemed disabled and in need of monies, it is WRONG to remove or now deny, merely because PIP has been set up differently, in order to save monies and fail, sick and disabled people!
NO REVIEW on DLA AWARD ENDING leading to being booted off DLA with no monies received under DLA nor PIP as is grossly set up to cause this monetary saving.

Why is this important?

You can NOT have sick, disabled people who are quite rightly in receipt of monies, under Disability Living Allowance, that suddenly find themselves worse off, due to the Government bringing in a new benefit or new policy or new legislation.
Human Rights & Discrimination ensures that Government Bodies can NOT breach Human Rights when they make such policies / legislation / regulations.
As per recent press and media - it was clear that Government were discriminating, repeatedly against vulnerable persons and now the Minister for DWP has resigned, stating he didn't agree with the cuts to sick / disabled persons. This is evidence of how severely damaging such 'tricks' by the Government really are, that the Minister had to resign and make public!
Therefore STOP ALL ASSESSMENTS and TRANSITIONS upon NEW APPLICATIONS TO PIP (Personal Independence Payments) as it is set to fail vulnerable, sick, disabled persons and is causing HARM! But also hardship!

Will add this link too - (hope nobody minds) it has some examples of CaseLaw - which are findings from previous cases, which might help if you have same sort of issue. Watch though as some of it is negative outcome and takes a bit of understanding.

Always put in Mandatory Reconsideration, we know it is unfair.... if that fails then appeal and yes, go as far as Tribunal although this Gov is FIXING matters to their advantage, you must fight on!

The Legislation regarding the so called transition (do tell us where the protection is for people on it) as it seems one sided ie hard luck. But the principal here is, as we say, people already in receipt of DLA should (in line with past) have been left on it, but at minimum most certainly unfair (as they made PIP different) that people should have monies removed due to not meeting new criteria - it is morally wrong Gov!

Many thanks to all those who have signed and keep sharing.

16th April showed approximately 150,000 people turned out for the Anti Austerity protest in London, this involved many unions and groups of people, all affected by harsh cuts. Of course there are many, many more people that couldn't attend, but wholly support. A lot of these people may be sick or disabled and are bearing the brunt of a lot of cuts.

No matter what your circumstances, you always need to think of what could happen, it could be you or your family.

We therefore urge you to keep trying to assist this cause, as well as others - solidarity!

Thank you

Monday 11th April Channel 4 Dispatches TV showed CAPITA for what it really is.
Tuesday 12th April Work & Pensions Minister Stephen Crabb attended seminar - In partnership with CAPITA One - despite the disgusting revelations. Crabb is determined to get sick and disabled into work. No part of his speech answered what many would have liked - in scrapping assessments and reversing harsh welfare cuts.

Interesting article in part anyway. Indicating Stephen Crabb MIGHT seek to SACK the likes of MAXIMUS - we can all hope, but that would leave the question of what happens after that.
Still - keep signing and sharing.

Many thanks everyone that has signed and shared.
PLEASE NOTE there might be OTHER petitions out there, however they don't cover the same as this one.
For example, the one Jennie H, you mention ONLY COVERS LIFETIME AWARDS of DLA whereas there will be lots of people who's AWARD WILL EXPIRE or they will be FORCED TO APPLY FOR PIP ANY TIME that don't have a lifetime award, so it is UNFAIR.
Many have lost out and not entitled to PIP as it is.

This petition is saying that how can someone be sick, disabled and entitled to DLA as a disability benefit NOW and then SUDDENLY NOT entitled under PIP?! The Government moved the goalposts to save money, this is NOT ACCEPTABLE!! Nor is removing a medium level of monies, so that some might only get low PIP or even nothing! Of course some might benefit and gain the higher amount, which is more than DLA, but likely rarer than the risk of losing all.

Thank you again for signing and for the comments. Hope this clarifies now.
