Open up Empty buildings in Kent for the homeless this winter
We request, that following the steps of Manchester council, you utilise empty buildings this winter to shelter the homeless from dire weather conditions. There are many empty properties in the Shepway area and we ask that they be used appropriately to provide shelter for our most vulnerable members of society. We are not asking for permanent shelters , but a safe space for the homeless over the most difficult of times.
Why is this important?
As we are expecting our worst winter yet, the medical implications of sleeping on the streets during this time will result hypothermia and may even result in death.
How it will be delivered
We will email as many of our councillors as necessary and if there are no responses then we will deliver this in person
