Why is this important?
It’s never been more clear that the world is facing an unprecedented climate emergency. From the biggest ever wildfires in the USA to an overheating arctic, we are running out of time to act. While promised action to address the problem in any modest way is welcome, the scale of the crisis as explained by science makes the radical, urgent measures outlined in the bill absolutely essential if we are to survive on Earth.
