Petition to force companies to Reduce excessive product packaging
That HM Government legislate to require manufacturers and producers to use the minimum amount of packaging necessary, with all packaging becoming "Fit for Size" as against enlarged for promotional purposes. Were manufacturers and producers fail to meet this requirement then an environmental levy should be liable.
Why is this important?
More often than not far too much material is wasted on product packaging.
Sometimes it is totally unnecessary and purely for visual reasons; aimed at making a product look more than it is - A marketing gimmick!
So many items are also packaged in unnecessarily high quality materials, which is costly to the environment and consumer. World resources are under pressure and we need to put a stop to it.
A reduction in unnecessary packaging helps the environment and future generations
