RIP for Whistleblowers

There is evidence that the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 is being abused. The surveillance being used under the pretext of terrorism is being used to intimidate and threaten individuals who may have raised complaints about a particular government agency, and also subvert the course of justice. These actions breach many laws including the European Convention of Human Rights. We request an amendment to the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 to ensure that innocent civilian are not targeted.

We also request that the oppressive tactics currently being employed against Sucheta Singh be abandoned immediately, by the cancellation of any RIP A order.

Why is this important?

Sucheta Singh is being subjected to covert surveillance by M15. Both her landline and mobile phone are being tapped, all activity on her computer is being watched. Further, she is being followed/listened to both in her car and anywhere where there is access to listening devices/CCTV/video equipment available.
The information obtained by this surveillance is being used as an oppressive tactic: to intimidate and threaten her as she raised complaints about the way her court cases have been handled in court and particularly, to try and stop her making an application to the European Court of Human Rights.
The actions have resulted in
- The influencing of most of her contacts to co-operate with them to obtain access to her in order to obtain information/make threats on her life.
- Actions taken to ensure that he is isolated so that she cannot continue with her complaints to the ECHR by scaring away friends, family and even a lawyers firm
- Attempts to cause distress to her as an ME/CFS patient and her contacts by making numerous nuisance and silent calls
- Influencing other government departments including hospitals to cause harm or further financial losses.
- The police making false statements in their attempt to section her under the Mental Health Act
- A firm of solicitors continuing to make false and frivolous claims against her causing her severe financial losses.
However, so far, she has been unable to obtain a proper response from the Home Secretary.
