Save Poole Civic Centre

BCP Council’s proposal to sell the Civic Centre means that another public asset will end up in private hands. This building is part of Poole’s history and its civic identity.

What do we want?
BCP Council should set up a public consultation to ask local people how they wish to see the building used, before they make any decisions to sell it off. It’s a community asset and as such the community should have a say in what happens to it. Don’t tell us – ask us.

Why is this important?

Those of us who want to see Poole thrive as a community, must save the Civic Centre for future generations. This building could be used for affordable housing, community spaces, business hubs and council services. If the civic centre is sold off, we’ll never get it back – and Poole doesn’t need another load of posh flats that local people can’t afford.

We have reached nearly 800 signatures! There is a protest tomorrow, Tuesday 15th October, at BCP Council building in Bournemouth, Bourne Avenue at 6pm. There is a full council meeting where they will vote on whether to sell it off to a private developer, so if you can be there to support, please do!
