Save the "Hobbit home"
Please give Charlie Hague and Megan Williams retrospective planning permission for their beautiful house so they don't have to destroy it. We accept that it was silly not to get permission in the first place, but this is clearly a situation where a little flexibility would go a long way.
Why is this important?
This important because making a family destroy their beautiful and environmentally sound house for no good reason is just sad and unnecessary. This house has been a great example of alternative design and low-impact living, and an example of taking the initiative: the family couldn't afford a normal house, so they built this one. And just think how much their kids must love it and how gutted they'd be if it had to be destroyed.
