Stop Kings Academy Binfield’s Proposed Admissions Policy Change
Kings Academy Binfield (KAB) is consulting on changes to its Admissions Policy that would prioritise pupils from Meadow Vale Primary Academy over children from Binfield COE Primary School.
If this change goes ahead, it could block many local families — including those whose children attend Binfield COE Primary School and other nearby schools — from gaining a place at their closest secondary school by 2027.
What We’re Calling For:
We, the undersigned, call on:
- Kings Group Academies Trust and Kings Academy Binfield to withdraw or amend this proposed Admissions Policy; and
- Bracknell Forest Council to review the legality and fairness of the proposed changes before they are approved.
Why is this important?
We believe this proposal is unfair and discriminatory.
It goes against the principles of fairness set out in the School Admissions Code (2021), which requires admissions to be reasonable, clear, objective, and procedurally fair. It may also breach the Equality Act 2010, as it disadvantages certain groups within the Binfield and Warfield communities.

Every child deserves a fair chance to attend their local secondary school.
