Thanks but No Thanks to TNT in K&C

PETITION TO COUNCIL TO REVIEW TNT POSTAL PILOT
We the undersigned residents of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea ask the Council to undertake an immediate review of the TNT postal services pilot currently under way in the Borough.

In North Kensington we have seen post abandoned in the streets, bushes and in the entrances of blocks of flats. Letters are lost, delayed, mis-delivered and stolen. This can have a devastating effect on local businesses and residents waiting for cheques, job offers, hospital appointments, contracts, etc.

In our opinion the pilot has not been successful. We urge the Council to take residents' experiences and views seriously into account in this review and to report back with its findings to the local community within six weeks. Should the review uphold our findings, we urge the Council to lobby the government to dispense with the services of TNT without delay.

Why is this important?

TNT postal services are undergoing a pilot in K&C that has been a disaster and post is delayed or undelivered. For some people a letter can be a lifeline - or a job offer. Postal services must be reliable and are too important to be handed over to amateurs, we need a professional service, now.
