Why not Make Manston Airport the Next Big South Airport
Instead of spending billions building a new airport in the Thames Estuary, extending the already over used Gatwick/Heathrow Airports. Why not spend a lesser figure expanding this Kent airport which has probably the longest landing area in the south of England. The money could be spent widening and extending the M2 motorway and improving the rail link to the air port
Why is this important?
A. It will move traffic away from London instead of diverting more vehicles into an already overcrowded road system.
B. Most of the Air traffic would land and take off towards the sea, so no overflying of houses.
C. Lower cost to the Government
D. More employment for the area
