38 Degrees Tamworth

38 Degrees is a national campaigning organisation with local groups all over the country. Their main aim is to build democracy from the people upwards rather than accepting government from authorities downwards. They aim to give people a voice and the confidence to express their ideas at local group level onwards. It is the aim and hope of 38 Degrees that local groups are founded on the fact that all members be capable of organising events of any kind, rather than having people acting at the behest of a controlling group, although campaigns and activities, irrespective of who is organising, would need to be discussed before action is taken. 38 Degrees has no political affiliation and accepts no funding or leadership from political parties. The organisation is strictly democratic, people are free to have their say and campaigning issues are decided upon by suggestion and final selection. 38 Degrees shares its values on the basis of inclusion including racial inclusion, equality, respect, belonging, co-operation, support, trust, unity, sympathy, friendship and loyalty. We meet at the Tame Otter, Hopwas on the first Thursday of each month at 8.00 p.m. It is totally free to join. Each time you sign an online petition you will be asked to make a donation. It is entirely up to you as to whether you do so or not.
