Keep the embankment open to cars

Keep the embankment open to cars

Leave the embankment open to traffic.

Why is this important?

Many people drive to the embankment to either, Us the parks, enjoy the view, also at this time it relieves some of the traffic due to the closure on Clifton bridge. Many disabled drivers visit the embankment, surely its wrong to remove such a pleasure from people for what?

Reasons for signing

  • The embankment is to be enjoyed by all. Which is possible with continued vehicle access. There is an appropriate speed limit and if anything additional zebra crossing could be added. The banning of all vehicles is not required and creates more traffic issues elsewhere.
  • There is no issue with it being used by cars. There's a wall either side to protect people from traffic.
  • The Embankment is for everyone , not just those who live close , and not all families can cycle there .
