Well, it's been over two years since I started the petition and despite assurances from the Secretary of State at the time about how this was something she was going to look into with the head of Ofsted nothing has changed.
You still can't find out if your child's nursery has done the trick of closing their parent company and opening another. A child could have died, or been abused, and all the nursery has to do is change their parent company.
The staff won't change, new management won't be brought in, and the risks will still be there. If you are lucky you might get a sign saying 'Under New Management' may appear outside, but you need to check if it's actually new management or just a switched-over parent company to generate publicity after a fall in numbers following an incident.
We keep pressing for transparency in this process .
