MORE MEDICAL FACILITIES NOT MORE FLATS

"We are undergoing  unprecedented development in Gravesend,  yet no thought appears to have been given by local authorities to providing extra medical facilities for the increasing patient numbers which will ultimately ensue.

Our local hospital is under intense pressure due to severe bed shortage and the problem of bed blocking by those patients medically fit but unable to be released due to lack of care package.  The site we feel lends itself perfectly to providing the essential beds for these patients, which will alleviate the pressure on Darent Valley Hospital and provide crucial parking places for medical staff at the adjacent Community Hospital.

We the residents call upon Gravesham Borough Council to work with the NHS to make this a priority consideration for the use of the land which we feel is CRUCIAL to the smooth running of our Hospital."

Why is this important?

We have to free up beds at DVH for those not needing treatment but unable to go home as they have no care package in place
