Pedestrian Rights

We call on the UK government to urgently make money available to local councils to improve the terrible state of most of our pavements. This includes the maintenance of uneven surfaces, cutting back of vegetation, the provision of dropped kerbs, and tackling the endemic problem of cars parking on footways, which blocks the paths for pedestrians, wheelchair users, and those with children

Why is this important?

We are all pedestrians, buy unless pavements are of good quality (surfaces maintained & even), easy to use (provision of dropped kerbs), and free from obstructions, more people will chose to drive instead.
