PETITION TO DEMAND WORTHING BOROUGH COUNCIL LISTEN TO THE CONCERNS OF RESIDENTS RE: BEACH HOUSE PARK
ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE AND PUBLIC HEALTH ALERT
1. A full transparent Public Consultation ON THE FUTURE OF THE PARK.
2. The REINSTATING OF THE SOUTH BOUNDARY BORDER WITH
mature, tall hedges and shrubs to combat pollution off the Brighton
Road whilst offering flood protection.
3. The budget assigned in seeking the Green flag status is used and
spent on sustainable, colourful and environmental planting.
4. The park to be locked at night

Why is this important?
In November 2019, WBC’s Park’s Manager deployed heavy plant machinery to rip the South Boundary border in BEACH HOUSE PARK, bringing the noise and pollutants off the Brighton Road directly into the park. More destruction is planned. The shelter, peace and protection provided by the trees and shrubs have all been DESTROYED. All you hear is traffic, all you see is flooding and all you smell is vehicular fumes putting the public’s Health at Risk. This, all undertaken without any public consultation.
How it will be delivered
We plan to organise a Press Conference to highlight the frustration and difficulties we have encountered in our attempts to engage in meaningful dialogue with WBC
