Put tackling climate change at the centre of government policy

As constituents of Truro and Falmouth could you please answer the question below and commit to the pledges that follow:

Do you accept that man-made climate change is a serious threat to our world and our future? Please begin your answer with a straight ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

With regard to key policy issues will you, if elected as our MP, personally commit to:

Ensuring that the next government puts tackling climate change at the heart of government policy through appropriate mitigation and adaption strategies?

Prioritising climate change mitigation & adaption strategies above that of short term financial & business interests where these are deemed to conflict with climate change policy?

Adhere, both in the letter and in the spirit, to strong targets to reduce carbon emissions - in particular the EU agreed target of at least 40% reduction below 1990 levels by 2030?

Support a renewable energy target of 30% by 2030 as advocated by the Renewable Energy Association?

Cease to subsidise fossil fuel companies by promptly reducing their extra tax relief, in particular relief for the development of new fossil fuel reserves including fracking?
