  • Breast screening to be lowered from age 50 to age 25 in the UK 🇬🇧
I am calling for: 1. Annual breast cancer screening for women aged 25-49. Women in their mid 20s, 30s and 40s should be offered a yearly breast screening appointment so cancer can be detected earlier. 2. Earlier access to diagnostic testing. When younger women report symptoms, they should receive fast access to scans and specialist assessment without being dismissed because of their age. 3. Better awareness among healthcare professionals and the public. Breast cancer in younger women is real and rising. Education and awareness campaigns should reflect this. 4. Investment in research on breast cancer in younger women. We need better understanding of why more young women are being diagnosed and how to detect and treat it earlier. Breast cancer is affecting more and more younger women. I am 38 and living with breast cancer, and through this experience I have met many women in their mid 20s 30s and 40s who are also going through this disease. Too often, their cancers are found late because routine screening is not offered to them. Early detection saves lives. Younger women deserve the same chance of early diagnosis as older women. The Scottish Government and the UK Government have the power to change this. It is time to act.

  • Support a Statutory Harbour Authority for Keyhaven
Support a Statutory Harbour Authority for Keyhaven Keyhaven Harbour generates a surplus of around £100,000 a year in mooring fees and harbour dues, but this money is not ring-fenced for maintaining the harbour that produces it — including Hurst Spit, which protects the Keyhaven River and our local environment. For nearly 30 years, Hurst Spit has been maintained at an average cost of just £16,000 per year, but funding relies on a patchwork of government bodies and uncertain grants. With storms becoming more frequent and public finances tightening, this system is no longer secure. Local Government Reform means New Forest District Council will soon disappear. This creates a timely opportunity to establish Keyhaven as a Statutory Harbour Authority (SHA).

  • Establish an Independent Public Inquiry into UK Links to the Jeffrey Epstein Trafficking Network.
Require an independent public inquiry into UK links to Jeffrey Epstein and associated trafficking networks. We call on the UK Government to establish a fully independent statutory public inquiry into any connections between UK individuals, institutions, or officials and the Jeffrey Epstein trafficking network. The inquiry should investigate whether any UK authorities, UK based associates, enablers, agencies, or public officials failed to investigate credible allegations, withheld information, or obstructed potential investigations relating to Epstein or his associates.  Survivors and the public deserve transparency, accountability, and assurance that no individual is above the law.

  • Fair NHS Pay
Fair NHS Pay  With inflation at 4%, minimum wage going up 4% why would it be okay to give NHS Staff only 3.3%? This just isn't fair!! NHS Band 2 wages are currently 30p over minimum wage after April it will only be 22p over, it may not sound alot but its a further squeeze on already stretched budgets of hard working people. Band 2 and 3 workers are the backbone of the NHS, HCA's, Porters, Domestic and Administration staff keep the nuts and bolts working and are essential to making patients care excellent, its not unreasonable to want to be paid fairly for this. Wes Streeting and the Government need to increase the pay to 4.5%, inline with inflation and to make up for previous years inadequate rises, also compensating for the extra emotional and physical strain all our NHS Roles incur. It's said you can't be paid to care, but it's time to pay those who do Care fairly.
