STOP MORE HOUSES IN CREECH ST MICHAEL
Please stop the building of another 200 houses in Creech St Michael by Gladman Land
Why is this important?
We really do not need or want another 200 houses in Creech St Michael. Gladman Land are proposing a huge development on our last remaining fields between North End and the M5 and which will tower over existing bungalows in West View and dominate the landscape at the entry to the village. We do not have the infastructure to support a development of this size. We have just one village shop, a school that is over subscribed and a doctor's surgery where you have to book an appointment a month in advance.
Another 200 houses means at least another 250-300 cars on the roads in and around the village which is already suffering as a rat run.
We have already taken more than our fair share of housing development in Creech. The houses that are being built are often beyond the reach of local people. Our youngsters cannot even afford those with 25% discounts.
An estate this size and design is totally out of character for our village.
