38 Degrees group and Herne Hill and Dulwich Trade and Justice Group Joint meeting on TTIP

Our small local 38 Degrees group has decided to join the Trade and Justice Group meeting on this occassion to discuss TTIP and see whether we can join forces to campaign on this and other issues. This is what our leader Elizabeth Rylance Watson said:. 'This time we shall be part of a Trade and Justice meeting. This is for a couple of reasons: Trade and Justice arranged for Professor John Hillary the expert on TTIP to speak in May - and TTIP is one of the group's main concerns. People are realising that TTIP would affect NHS, Environment, Development and the wider economy. On 17th July, between 25-30 constituents of DaWN met Helen Hayes (our MP) at the Climate Change rally. I spoke to her as promised on TTIP, others spoke of different issues linked to the environment and she showed a keen interest and suggested building a local environmental movement. Going to this Trade and Justice meeting on Monday, will help us connect with other groups and will give us a means to speak regularly to our M.P.
