'38 Degrees Live' comes to Stourbridge on Feb 28

For the first time, Stourbridge is getting its own 38 Degrees-powered Democracy Day to highlight issues that most concern local people and show how they can be tackled.
The big question is: Are politicians taking liberties?
This is a free 'drop-in' event and exhibition in the heart of town that will run from late morning until late afternoon.
At the St Thomas Church Hall venue in Market Street, we’ll be showcasing as many of the issues as practicable that members place high among their concerns, locally and nationally.
These include the future of the NHS, the TTIP UK/EU/US trade deal, Fracking in the Black Country, the Gagging Law and much more.
We’re planning information points and stands around the hall where people can discover more about the big issues, plus a presentation zone for films, speakers and Q&A sessions. We'll be out in town too, talking to people.
The organisers, members of the newly-formed local group '38 Degrees Stourbridge', want to hear your views.
The event will also echo the ‘Taking Liberties’ theme of the BBC’s current season of programme and projects to mark the two historic democracy landmarks for 2015 – the 750th anniversary of the founding of Parliament and the 800 years since Magna Carta.
Most of all, it's a chance for the many local people who have backed campaigns by 38 Degrees to find out more about how it works and what has been achieved so far - and discover what they want to happen next.
Register now for updates in the run-up to the day. More details of the event can be found in our newsletter here: http://eepurl.com/beQ9AH
