Hands Round Dewsbury Hospital: a vigil

We will form a single file line along Healds Road to draw attention to the imminent loss of services at the hospital. The A&E will be a grade 3 facility, reduced from a grade 1 and there will be no consultant led maternity provision. The new midwife led unit will be lovely, but campaigners feel it is too far away from emergency services, should anything go wrong during delivery. Children will not be admitted to hospital at Dewsbury.
