Is Cheltenham A&E about to be closed?

Inside information has it that Cheltenham A&E is scheduled to be closed - one source has said as early as this month, some have heard end of this year, still others that it will be in 2018, but whatever the date, this would leave Gloucester Royal as the only A&E for the whole of Gloucestershire.

This situation cannot be considered workable for the county.
