Lobby Greater Huddersfield CCG

Following a move to close Huddersfield A&E, Huddersfield Keep Our NHS Public members, plan to lobby the Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group at their meeting in public on Wednesday. Should the decision to close Huddersfield Royal Infirmary go ahead, there will be no major A&E in the whole of Kirklees.

The plans have been drawn up by Ernst and Young, on the instructions of Monitor, the competition regulator for the NHS. The Secretary of State Health, no longer has a 'Duty to Provide' health services, so he isn't. The Yorkshire and the Humber Commissioning Support Unit for the CCGs is now owned by Kier (the building company) and Australian telecoms owned Dr Foster, but 'funded' by the NHS.
