NHS and Social Care campaigners workshop

A day for activists from Cornwall and Devon to learn, meet, and plan. Speakers include:

Andrew George, former Liberal Democrat MP for St Ives,

Lucy Reynolds activist and a research fellow at the London School of Tropical Medicine who has studied the NHS extensively. She will speak about PFI debt and the devolution of the NHS to localities.

Deborah Hopkins, nurse and teacher; Unite and Labour Party activist who will talk about the NHS funding crisis. There will be workshops in the afternoon.

There is a £5 cost to this event in order to cover hire of hall, car parking and cost of rail fare for one of our speakers. This event is being organised by a coalition of grassroots activists and campaigners. KONP groups in both Cornwall & Devon along with Cornwall Save our NHS are the lead organisations in an umbrella group that includes local Unite, 38 Degrees and other groups.
