Rally against the "Procurement for Health" Conference

Join us on Thursday 9th July in Birmingham for a rally outside the "Procurement for Health" Conference.

This Thursday, hundreds of private health companies are meeting in Birmingham to learn how to get their hands on a “lucrative £20 billion opportunity”. That opportunity? Our NHS. It’ll be on the table at a major event for companies interested in making a profit from our health service.

At the event, private health companies will get tips to help them to make a profit from NHS services. Hundreds of delegates are expected at 'P4H’ - Procurement for Health. Dozens of private companies will be there, hoping to persuade health professionals and NHS staff on the wisdom of buying their services. Private companies are being schooled in how to bid for and control NHS budgets. This event is about encouraging privatisation at the heart of the NHS that we know doesn’t work.

38 Degrees members are proud of our NHS. It's the best healthcare system in the world. We built it and it belongs to all of us. So together, we're going to the conference to show profiteering companies that if they want to break up our NHS, they'll have a fight on their hands.

Keep Our NHS Public, People's Aseembly and partners are organising an action.
