Protest at Hampstead Emporium Jan 7th 2023 2pm

Dear Hampstead Emporium Supporters,

We have important news about the campaign to save the Hampstead Antique & Craft Emporium in the last hours of the year 2022….

We wrote to Mr Richard Jaffe, our landlord, expressing our huge discontent about the very unreasonable two months notice he gave us to dismantle our small businesses in the Hampstead Antique & Craft Emporium.

We informed him that we have submitted an application to Camden Council for the Hampstead Antique & Craft Emporium to be designated as an Asset of Community Value (ACV) and that this application is fully supported by our local politicians Tulip Saddiq MP, Cllr Linda Chung, and Cllr Steven Stark, the Heath & Hampstead Society and the Hampstead Neighbourhood Forum.

We were very happy to also report to Jaffe the extent of your support with signatures numbering over 3000 (online and written petitions) protesting the closure of the market! Thank you again for your support.

Unfortunately Mr Richard Jaffe will not compromise or give the traders any opportunity to save the Hampstead Antique & Craft Emporium. Jaffe is fully intent on its permanent closure on Jan 7th 2023 and is resolved to consign the market to history.

We cannot let a 34 year old from South London, who is worth almost 90 million pounds, make this hugely impactful decision for the Hampstead community without any consultation or the local community having the opportunity to save the market!

We cordially invite you and the whole family to visit the Emporium on the afternoon of Jan 7th 2023 to express your will to save the Hampstead Antique Emporium. You might bring refreshments, warm clothing and colourful signage expressing your feelings on this matter.

We wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year 2023! See you on Jan 7th!!!
