The NHS is about to undergo another dramatic redisorganisation intended to dismantle it completely and divert funding from treating people who are ill, to funding companies to offer programmes to keep people healthy. The fact that there is no evidence to show that this will keep people well and out of hospital, or that it will save money, matters not. It is a headlong rush to 'deliver' more of the NHS to private companies and multinationals, than they already control and to 'secure' private sector money on a 'match funding' basis to create PFI style organisations for services, as well as buildings.
