TTIP pencil and EU wide petition

There is a Europe wide petition against the secretive 'trade' talks known as the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) gathering strength. You can sign it online at
https://stop-ttip.org/sign/
But for those without the internet, there are also paper petitions. The TTIP Pencil is a prop which signposts people to the petition table. We are very fortunate to be able to have it visit us in Dewsbury.
38degrees nationally, is one of the 480 civil society organisations EU wide, which oppose this particular trade deal, plus CETA, a similar trade deal with Canada. It is negotiated behind closed doors. It has features which if agreed will make governments subject to law suits (being sued) for introducing measures which protect their people and is this anti-democratic and against the rule of law, as CETA is. It favours multinational demands over elected governments' wishes and laws.
Please pop over sometime between 10am and 2pm for your own photo opportunity with this interesting prop. And if you haven't signed online, you can sign with us on the day.

if you would like to help us with signatures we are meeting at the market entrance, nearest the market office at 10am.
