Amazon v Visa

I am incensed that a large company such as Amazon want me to change my method of payment - namely a visa credit - card as they feel visa charges are too high. This coming from a multi-million dollar company is almost comical.
It is nice to know that unlike many small internet businesses they put profits for the share-holders before customer convenience. I cancelled my account and they did not even enquire why. Maybe if other Visa users did the same they may take notice.

Why is this important?

Freedom of choice is not down to amazon
