Automatic doors for accessible public toilets.

I am a long time electric wheelchair user.
I recently had a young friend who is in her first chair. She asked me the best way I open accessible public toilets.
I tried to Google information without success.
I then thought about my own experiences.
Why are the doors not automated?
Even having them free swinging both ways would make access easier.
