BAN CHINESE LANTERNS

Dear Minister, You haven't listened to the farmers, who have suffered watching their animals die wretchedly after eating the remains of these deadly lanterns, which take 9 months to degrade. The costly fire in Smethwick was apparently started by a lantern dropping onto a pile of plastic; with the current heatwave heathland and forest become vulnerable every day; Poundland has stopped selling them. Do we need these extra hazards? Before there are further tragedies, please ban these dangerous lanterns.
