Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red until 11 November 2018

This campaign has ended.

Given the significance and popularity of the "Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red" art installation and the problems with the numbers of visitors at the Tower of London (which will increase as we approach formal remembrance and 11 November 2014), the installation should remain in situ until at least November 2018, to recognise and symbolise the duration and increasing impact of the First World War.

Only then should it be dismantled and the poppies be distributed to the members of the public who have purchased them.

Why is this important?

This would increase the time for everyone to see the installation and would also give a greater return for the enormous effort which has gone into its construction and the importance of the work, as a symbol of loss and sacrifice which has been demonstrated by the Royal patronage given.
