Blue Badge Fiasco

I’m disabled and have a Blue Badge. Prior to the changes I just swiped my exemption card and went through. Now I’m having to go into a separate area and wait for someone to check my Blue Badge and enter the details on a hand held device, before I can rejoin the ordinary lane. This makes my journey longer because I have to do this both ways. Because I’m autistic it also makes me feel anxious. I feel they are discriminating against disabled people and we are being singled out as different. Either return to the previous system of exemption cards, or stop treating us differently from everyone else. This new system is slower not quicker.

Why is this important?

This is important, because disabled motorists are being treated differently to everyone else and I feel that we are being discriminated against. Why do we have to be kept waiting in a different area until our identity is checked.
