Malkins Bank and Hassall Green has been neglected in any proposal to bring fiber broadband to these semi rural areas.
We would like to be supplied with Fiber just like the rest of the town who have or are on course to getting it supplied.
Why is this important?
The current situation in these villages is a very slow speed which affects people working from home, homeschoolers, general enjoyment of the internet and increased satellite TV costs as the cheaper packages require Fiber.
Residents pay local taxes just as the rest of town do, and are being discriminated based on geography.
We want the council to prioritise the installation of Fiber in these villages.
