Build an accessible park in Limavady

Extend its current park area in Limavady to have accessible play facilities for children in wheelchairs and children with sensory disorders.
Why is this important?
Despite catering for special needs education here in Limavady at Rossmar, and a great greenspace area at Backburn Path, we have no accessible play facilities for children in wheelchairs or specially adapted pushchairs. We also have no sensory areas, with parents having to travel out of the area to take their children to facilities adapted to their needs. Taking into account the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, particularly article 2 (Children must be protected from discrimination), article 27 The child's right to a standard of living adequate for the child's physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development), and most relevent in this case, article 31 (The child's right to rest, leisure and recreational activities), our councillors are failing the families of Limavady and it's surrounding areas. Money was allocated to change the name of the current culture centre which was then dismissed. This could be spent in the construction of a sensory/accessible park. Our children are our future. Please sign this petition to show the demand we have for it in Limavady!
