Build Bedminster Better: Recall the Princess Street Towers development
We, the undersigned, urge the council to recall the Princess Street Towers planning application.
Why is this important?
This development is over-large and will bring a student tower of 23 storeys to the boundary of Victoria Park, dominating the views for the community from Totterdown to Windmill Hill and visible from the top of Troopers Hill, Perrets Park and the Northern Slopes right across to St Michael's Hill in Cotham.
Local people are pursuing a Judicial Review because they feel so strongly that Bristol City Council should not have approved planning permission after initially refusing it in January 2026.
We also want to raise awareness of problems with the planning process and need the following signatures from people with a Bristol postcode:

- 200 signatures to trigger a debate at the local area committee
- 1,500 signatures for a debate at a policy committee
- 3,500 signatures to debate the issue at Full Council
