FREQUENT FLYER TAX NEEDED WITH CROSS PARTY SUPPORT

Photo by Philip Myrtorp on Unsplash
A frequent flyer tax must be approved and debated as a matter of urgency in cross party committees because the demand for cheap, polluting flights is rising as are emissions and yet still the Government won't act. In Febuary of 2025 Ed Miliband really tried to tout a flyer levy...but his efforts seemed to have been thwarted. Although Labour have pioneered greener fuels for planes (which is excellent) this still isn't enough to mitigate the overall increase in emmissions from planes. Please greatly leveridge your influence, Mr. Miliband

Why is this important?

Throughout history there have always been, in my opinion, key moral or financial issues (slavery, voting rights, shared obligations) but currently, the right people have to clean air and a secure, sustainable and stable future environment is at serious risk because of untramelled greed and a narrow vision of economic "growth" which doesn't sufficiently factor in the costs of damage to climate.
