Care Assistant

Hi everyone I am a care assistant at Care Home in Glasgow at Mossvale Rd, we get paid £9.50 for a night shift, we look after elderly people, and in our job description there is no cleaning involved we have to do cleaners job for lounge, so we have to hoover, mop and clean the dishes , I feel like that’s underestimated as the amount of work we do and get paid for isn’t fair. A management treat us like rats in work. We do 20:00-8:00 shifts which is 12hr, we are private care home and I feel like we are not getting enough for the amount of work we do for elderly people but also for the care home.
