Carers allowance

The unpaid carers in the United Kingdom save the state millions each year, yet if they claim carers allowance and are on Universal Credit they lose £1 for each £1 they receive. At the bare minimum it should be the same rate as Universal Credit taper limit or, ideally, be scrapped.

Why is this important?

Other people should join this campaign because its morally right to let carers keep their money without penalising them. Carers allowance should be treated like PIP.
