Centralised Government Website for Online Gambling

In the UK, there are thousands of online gambling operators that provide easy access for potential gambling addicts.

Where is it currently possible to self-exclude oneself from each provider at a time - it is not currently possible to exclude oneself from online gambling altogether.

It is so easy to open a new account with different operators regardless of your gambling history or addictions.

This should be changed to help prevent the devastating effects that gambling addiction has on people's lives.

What we are suggesting is for the UK government to provide a service whereby any person that wishes to participate in online gambling, requires a gambling number of sorts from a single point of services that is regulated by a government agency.

In countries such as The Netherlands, online gambling is illegal altogether and any form of gambling it regulated by the government. The US also has strict gambling controls for online operators. Why is it that in the UK operators are able to take advantage of vulnerable people so easily.

Why is this important?

Online gambling operators need to individually adhere to rules in line with the Gambling Commision.

We believe it is important to provide a single point where gambling can be controlled in order to prevent gambling addicts accessing online services in the effective way possible.
