Ministerial Code of Conduct changed and made legal binding

The Ministerial Code of Conduct was altered this week by the Government, we now need a legal binding code, not one based on good will and morals. This government has also refused to follow the code and had to be forced to comply. This shows that we can no longer continue with a moral code and need something legally binding.

Why is this important?

The Government have tried to ignore the Ministerial Code making them unwilling to follow a moral code and have taken it upon themselves to start changing areas they no longer wish to follow. This has started with it is no longer a resigning matter if this code is breached, meaning the Government no longer has any serious repercussions for breaking the Ministerial Code.
