Background:
On the 20th May 2015, the controlling group of Wrexham Borough Council voted to increase the number of Councillors who receive Special Responsibility Allowance, resulting in an additional £63,000.00 being paid to Councillors in allowances.
We feel that the decision of Wrexham Borough Council to increase the number of councillors who receive a Special Responsibility Allowance should be reversed.

Why is this important?
This decision was taken at a time when Wrexham is facing severe cuts and public services are under threat. We feel that the local communities in Wrexham should be put first and these funds should be spent on local communities and not councillors allowances.
