Conservative Party candidate transparency over tax cuts

As the current chairman of the 1922 backbench committee with responsibility for the rules governing the Conservative Party leadership election, you should make it a mandatory requirement for all candidates who campaign on a programme of tax cuts to declare explicitly which public services they will cut and the consequences of doing so.

Why is this important?

A number of those declaring their candidacy for the leadership of the Conservative Party are doing so on a platform of tax cuts. None so far have declared the impact on public services and what services they propose to cut. It is essential that they are transparent so the public understand the consequences should they be elected.
